CITIC 21CN Change its Name to Ali Health
The change of the English name from "CITIC 21CN Company Limited" to "Alibaba Health Information Technology Limited", Alibaba Holding has granted a royalty-free non-exclusive licence to CITIC 21CN to use the names "Alibaba" and "阿里" under limited circumstances. The English stock short name of CITIC 21CN will be changed to "ALI HEALTH".
Last January, Alibaba has agreed to buy 4.4 billion Citic 21CN shares at 30 Hong Kong cents each, taking a 54.3 percent stake. Alibaba said in an e-mailed statement that it will use Citic 21CN’s drug data and Alibaba’s e-commerce, cloud computing and “big data” capabilities.
CITIC 21CN is the only company to hold the pilot licence of third party online sales qualification for drugs, and also retain the unique Chinese drug supervision code system. In a nutshell, CITIC 21cn controls all the data of the whole process of distribution.
